Podgorica, (MINA) – To Be Secure (TBS) Forum has shown that Montenegro, although a small country, is the place where discussions on, not only regional, but also global issues, can take place, said president of the Atlantic Council of Montenegro Savo Kentera.
He remarked that more than 500 TBS Forum participants contributed to discussion and debate in high quality and constructive manner.
Kentera told Mina that one of the main messages of the 9th TBS Forum is that the Balkans cannot be left on its own or to some third countries.
According to him, if the EU and the USA would not use this moment and recognize that all Western Balkans countries must become the Union members, than some other country will grab the opportunity.
He warned that it mustn’t be allowed.
“There are some very encouraging things, that maybe, regardless of hearing some messages from the other side that the new EU Commission assembly will not pay attention to the enlargement, the enlargement will remain at the agenda”, said Kentera.
The focus of the 9th TBS Forum, which took place from Thursday to Saturday in Budva, and gathered more than 500 participant, was on security, stability and future prosperity of the Western Balkans and Montenegro’s attempts to contribute to that goal.
The Forum was organized by the Atlantic Council Montenegro, as an important platform helping promotion of new and tactical thinking and offering responses to burning regional and global issues.
