Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – The revenues of Monteput coming from Sozina tunnel toll amounted to €1.7 million in the first quarter.
Executive Director of Monteput Jonuz Mujevic told Mina-business agency that a total of 473,147 vehicles had gone through this tunnel in the first three months.
“The number of passenger and cargo vehicles was a little smaller, while the number of motorcycles and cargo vehicles under three and a half tons increased. This trend indicates that the economic activities, primarily the transport of goods and materials to the Port of Bar, declined in this period,” said Mujevic.
He said that the financial results achieved in this period were in line with the financial plan for this year.
The company finished the last year with a positive financial result.
“The gross revenues amounted to €9.71 million last year. We can be completely satisfied with the last year’s performance of Monteput, given that the results it achieved were in line with the plan,” said Mujevic.
The company’s net profit amounted to €1.52 million last year.
“Last year’s profit was lower than in 2017 because of a 2.4 percent decrease in gross revenues and the fact that the public procurement and investment works from 2017 were carried out last year,” said Mujevic.
