Criminal charges filed against Jovanic, Mihajlovic Elez and Zajak

Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – Podgorica-based company Atlas cap has filed criminal charges against former director of the Meljine hospital Olivera Mihajlovic Elez, President of the Commercial Court Blazo Jovanic, bankruptcy administrator of Meljine complex Sasa Zejak and several unknown persons.

According to a press release issued by Atlas Group, the charges were filed with the Special State Prosecutor’s Office by Zdravko Djukanovic, the lawyer of Atlas cap, which is a majority owner of Meljine Complex.

“They are accused of creating a criminal organization in early 2018 in order to unlawfully push Meljine Complex into bankruptcy,” the press release says.

The press release reminds that Mhajlovic Elez was Director of Meljine Complex and at the same time the bankruptcy creditor who initiated the bankruptcy proceedings over a claim amounting to €19,000.

“Mihajlovic Elez, Jovanic and Zejak joined efforts to unlawfully institute bankruptcy proceedings for Meljine complex, causing multimillion damage to the shareholders,” the press release says.

Atlas Group reminds that, on two occasions, the Appellate Court already annulled decisions of the Commercial Court on institution of bankruptcy proceedings for Meljine complex. Longer version of article is available on a link MINA ENGLISH SERVIS
