Podgorica, (MINA) – Romania will, as the chairing country of the Council of Europe, support Montenegro in its European integration, it was heard in the meeting of Director of the Directorate for Defense Policy Ivica Ivanovic with his Romanian counterpart Vasil Bukur.
According to the press release from the Ministry of Defense, bilateral consultations were the opportunity for exchange of opinions and positions, as well as discussing possibilities for further improvement of defense bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
“He wished to his Romanian colleague success during Romanian presidency over the Council of European Union and thanked for the support that Romania offers to Montenegrin in achieving its other foreign politics priority, the EU membership”, the press release stated.
Bukur emphasized that the visit of Montenegrin delegation is the encouragement towards additional development of continuously good relations and emphasized Romanian readiness to offer to Montenegro its full support on its path towards full EU membership.
