Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – Governor of the Central Bank (CBCG) Radoje Zugic has said that the deposits of all clients of Atlas banka and Invest banka Montenegro (IBM) that do not exceed €50,000 are safe and protected, and will be paid after a 45-day moratorium.
“All depositors of these banks whose deposits range between €1 and €50,000 are completely safe. This is guaranteed by the funds of the Deposit Protection Fund, interim administrators and the CBCG. There is no reason to panic,” Zugic said at a press conference.
According to him, all guaranteed deposits are completely protected and will be paid after the 45-day moratorium, introduced on Monday, has been lifted.
Zugic expects that all dilemmas will be resolved after the moratorium, and that the bank will have the opportunity to recover.
