Podgorica, (MINA) – The USA has donated two boats with accompanying equipment to the Montenegrin Navy, within the Humanitarian Demining program.
The handover of the boats type P-5.8 was organized in Bar on Tuesday, and the ceremony was attended by Defense Minister Predrag Boskovic and US Ambassador to Montenegro Judy Rising Reinke.
Boskovic thanked to the Ambassador and the American people for the donation, emphasizing that it is a confirmation of great friendship between Montenegro and the USA.
According to the Ministry’s press release, he said that the donated boats will improve capacity of the Navy, and have positive effect on its positioning within the general defense system.
Reinke said that the USA are proud of the friendship and alliance with Montenegro.
