Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – According to the Chamber of Commerce, one of the major tour operators in China, U-tour, is interested in investing in Montenegro, primarily in the development of hotel capacities.
A delegation of this Chinese company visited PKCG to discuss the investment climate and incentives in Montenegro, focusing on the tourism sector.
The PKCG Vice President Ljiljana Filipovic said that Montenegro was characterized by a faster economic growth compared with the rest of the region, as well as by its stimulating investment climate.
“Montenegro is a reliable business partner,” Filipovic said, inviting the Chinese guests to spend more time in Montenegro.
According to U-tour Vice President Wei Zhang, around two million Chinese tourists used the company’s services every year, which made it one of the largest tour operators in the country.
She said that the company was interested in investing in Montenegro, and the support and incentives provided by Montenegrin institutions, adding that the number of Chinese tourists travelling to Montenegro had doubled in the previous several years.
