Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – The President of Montenegro, Milo Djukanovic, has said that Tivat proves that a city can follow the principles of sustainable development, adding that its transformation into a recognizable investment destination and the development of new resorts guarantee its future prosperity.
“The development Tivat saw after the restoration of independence is the best indicator of an overall development of Montenegro,” Djukanovic said, congratulating the Municipality Day to the officials and citizens of Tivat.
Djukanovic said that Tivat proved that a city could be develop following the sustainability principles, while building modern resorts and marinas in line with the Mediterranean tradition.
He congratulated the Municipality Day to Mayor of Tivat Sinisa Kusovac, speaker of the City Council Ivan Novosel, councilmen, and all citizens of Tivat.
According to Djukanovic, Tivat is becoming a pearl of the nautical tourism in this part of the Mediterranean, reflecting a stable and dynamic development of a country that follows European and Euro-Atlantic values.
