Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – It was concluded at a meeting Minister of Human and Minority Rights Mehmed Zenka had with new coordinator of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) Muhammed Unal that TIKA would continue to contribute to the economic development of Montenegro.
Zenka said that Montenegro appreciated very much the support to the development projects provided by TIKA, adding that the economic development was one of the main priorities of the current Government.
“TIKA’s investments have strengthened the confidence of Turkish investors in Montenegro, which is evident from the number of registered companies, which exceeds 2,000. This also confirms that Montenegro and Turkey share common economic interests,” said Zenka.
According to a press release issued by the Ministry, he welcomed TIKA’s readiness to maintain its presence in all regions of Montenegro and congratulated Unal on his appointment.
Unal expressed his readiness to cooperation, saying that the focus would be placed on the training projects next year because of the importance of investment in human resources.
He also offered technical assistance in the improvement and protection of the rights of persons with disabilities.
