Podgorica, (MINA) – The State Electoral Commission (DIK) has taken a proactive attitude in terms of meeting ODIHR mission recommendations on the presidential elections 2018, in particular in regard to transparency of its work, said DIK president Djordjije Vukcevic.
Great Britain ambassador to Montenegro Alison Kemp with her associates paid a visit to DIK.
“The visit was an opportunity for discussing the subjects regarding implementation of the ODIHR Mission Final Report recommendations on 2018 presidential election”, the press release stated.
The meeting paid significant attention to the persons with disabilities and their access to polling stations and it is concluded that additional efforts must be made towards improvement of their status.
“Considering the fact that regular parliamentary elections are to take place in 2020, Kemp and Vukcevic agreed that the Commission should take an active role in potential electoral reform”, the press release stated.
