Podgorica, (MINA) – Prime Minister Dusko Markovic has congratulated to Austria and Federal Chancellor Sebastian Kurz on the successful presidency of the EU Council in the past six months.
He also expressed appreciation for Austria’s support for the opening of Chapter 27 in Montenegro’s EU accession talks.
“I assure you that Montenegro will be meeting these and all other commitments in a responsible manner, fully aware of the complexity and importance of the EU accession talks,” Markovic said in his letter to Chancellor Kurz.
According to the PM, Montenegro’s EU accession journey has been following a positive trend and the opening of the new chapter will serve as incentive for further comprehensive reforms and the accession process which brings visible benefits to the Montenegrin society and citizens.
