Podgorica, (MINA) – Parliament Speaker Ivan Brajovic has stated that he expects all branches of government to demonstrate additional attentiveness and sensibility in what he described is a sensitive political moment.
According to Brajovic, the Parliament is currently facing another challenge with regard to an MPs responsibility towards the judiciary.
He said that this issue is being discussed at the College meetings, adding that the talks do not always produce concrete results.
“Everyone agrees that every MP needs to be guaranteed full protection in expressing their views and the freedom of political work. On the other hand, that by no means allows the MPs to take an aggressive, unsubstantiated and groundless accusations against other individuals and institutions,” Brajovic stated.
According to him, the existing legal provisions about parliamentary immunity require a serious discussion.
“They require that an analysis of their comprehensiveness be made and if necessary their amendments,” Brajovic said.
