Podgorica, (MINA) – The politics of multi-ethnicity and multi-culturalism has been winning in Montenegro for more than two decades, Prime Minister Dusko Markovic has stated.
Addressing a meeting of the Socialist International in New York, the Prime Minister said that the politics rooted in the values of the Socialist Internatonal has been dominant in Montenegro for over two decades.
According to him, those are the values of peace, stability, cohabitation, solidarity, multi-ethnic and multi-religions harmony.
“Those are the sources of our longevity and we are proud of that,” the Prime Minister said at the meeting held on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly session in New York.
Markovic remarked that thanks to those values Montenegro became a NATO member last year and has entered the sixth year of successful EU accession talks.
