Budva, (MINA-BUSINESS) –The Director-General of the Directorate for Electronic Communications, Postal Service and Radio Spectrum, Ratka Strugar, has said that Montenegro recognized the importance of information and communication technologies (ICT) for its progress, adding that it pays particular attention to this sector, giving it priority in its development plans.
“The infrastructure and connectivity, as well as the role of services and applications, should be growing together with the capacity of innovative small startups to provide local ICT-based solutions,” Strugar said at a workshop, which took place on the sidelines of Infofest in Budva.
The Ministry presented the project “Innovative Digital Profile of Montenegro” it had been implementing in partnership with the International Telecommunication Union (ITU).
The workshop is an important activity within the framework of the project, focusing on the ICT innovation ecosystem in Montenegro, implemented as part of the Regional Initiative.
