Podgorica, (MINA) – Montenegro fell one place in the list of countries in regard to press freedoms and now takes the 104th position out of 180 countries, the Reports Without Borders’ report stated.
As stated, the European Union and the Balknas registered the second, biggest deterioration of press freedoms in regional score (1.7%).
“It is still the region where press freedoms are respected most, and which is, in principle, the safest, but journalists are nonetheless exposes to serious threats”, the report stated.
Out of former Yugoslavia countries, Slovenia is best placed in the 34th position, Bosnia and Herzegovina is in the 63rd, Croatia in 64th, Serbia in 90th and North Macedonia in 95th position.
