Podgorica, (MINA) – Montenegro is ready to continue with promotion of European values, said president Milo Djukanovic.
He hosted on Tuesday a farewell visit by Finnish ambassador to Montenegro Pertti Ikonen.
According to the press release from the president’s office, Djukanovic thanked to Ikonen for great cooperation during his diplomatic term and improvement of the relations between the two countries.
“The president thanked also for the continuous support of that country to Montenegrin EU bid”, the press release stated, adding that he also stressed good bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
Ikonen, according to the press release, assessed the quality of the relations between the two countries as high, emphasizing that it is confirmed by the increasing number of tourists from Finland in Montenegro.
