Ningbou, Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – Former President of Montenegro Filip Vujanovic has said that Montenegro is one of the most attractive investment destinations in the Mediterranean, particularly in the field of tourism, real estate, energy and agriculture, adding that this can be confirmed by investors from more than 100 countries.
At the China and Central and Southeast Europe Forum in Ningbo, focusing on the promotion of the investment and trade cooperation, he said that the event gave a strong contribution to the improvement of cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European countries.
“Montenegro and China have excellent relations which have improved in the previous several years through the 16+1 mechanism and the Belt and Road Initiative. This cooperation strongly underpins the friendship between our nations and people,” said Vujanovic.
According to a press release issued by his Office, he said that Montenegro had been actively participating in the mechanism, adding that it produced excellent results, especially in the field of infrastructure as a key development priority.
“Montenegro has started the construction of the motorway connecting the Adriatic Coast with Serbia and Central and Western Europe,” said Vujanovic, encouraging Chinese companies to express interest in the follow-up to this project on the basis of a public private partnership.
