Podgorica, (MINA) – Minister of Health Kenan Hrapovic presented on Monday 12 modern ECG machines to ten health institutions in Montenegro, a donation of the Turkish International Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA)
Hrapovic explained that the procurement of equipment for the Pljevlja General Hospital and the community health centers in Andrijevica, Bijelo Polje, Cetinje, Kotor, Pljevlja, Tivat, Danilovgrad, Niksic and Berane have resulted from the excellent cooperation between the Health Ministry, Turkish Embassy in Montenegro and TIKA.
According to the Minister, TIKA has been one of the biggest donors for the Montenegrin health system for years.
He recalled that between 2007 and 2017 the total value of the TIKA donations for medical equipment and reconstruction of health facilities in Montenegro was €2.3 million.
Turkish Ambassador Serhat Galip noted that so far TIKA has completed 320 projects in Montenegro, including 45 in the healthcare sector.
