Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – Prime Minister Dusko Markovic has said that the economic policy implemented by the Government, in combination with the responsible fiscal analyses and social dialogue, resulted in the benefits for all citizens.
“I am positive that the citizens can see the benefits of the economic development, i.e. improvement of the living standard,” Markovic said at the Parliament, answering the MPs’ questions.
In response to the question of MP Marta Scepanovic of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) about the social dialogue with representatives of the trade unions and employers, he said that the Social Council had made a great progress in that field over the previous eleven years.
“The whole set of laws has been developed and harmonized with the social partners. Draft amendments to the Law on Pension and Disability Insurance, the Labour Law and other legislation aimed at providing an adequate and stimulating environment are currently being harmonized through social dialogue,” said Markovic.
He said that the draft amendments to the Law on Pension and Disability Insurance envisaged the provisions that would revise the legal conditions for early retirement, in order to ensure sustainability of the pension system, and fairer and more adequate pensions.
