Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – The Prime Minister, Dusko Markovic, has said that the citizens of Kolasin will be the first to feel the benefits of motorway as a major infrastructure project, adding that he expects from the new local administration to work hard in order to prepare for that moment.
“Kolasin will have a privilege to enjoy the benefits of motorway as the government’s major investment. The completion of the priority section and opening of the tourist resorts on the side of Mount Bjelasica that belongs to the Municipality of Kolasin, will create business opportunities,” Markovic said, congratulating the Municipality Day to the citizens and local administration of Kolasin.
He said that the Government had demonstrated determination in creating the preconditions for valorisation of potentials allowing better living conditions for the local population.
“Therefore, I expect ideas and administrative aggressiveness from you. The Government and my Cabinet are open to your every initiative,” said Markovic.
According to a press release issued by the Government’s Public Relations Service, he met today with the Mayor of Kolasin, Milosav Bulatovic, and his deputies, Bojan Kumburovic, and Danilo Medenica.
Markovic reiterated the Government’s strategic commitment to investing in the northern region of Montenegro.
“As a Prime Minister, I would like to transform the northern region into an area that will be economic, social and cultural foundation of Montenegro,” said Markovic.
Several concrete projects, including the development of a business zone, district heating and solid waste treatment, were discussed at the meeting, as well as the need to improve the utility and other services in Kolasin.
