Podgorica, (MINA) – Dusko Knezevic’s team of lawyers has proposed to the Special State Prosecutor’s Office (SDT) that the Atlas Group President be questioned via video link or through a letter rogatory sent to the British authorities.
The lawyers argue that the proposed way of questioning is adequate, considering that the Special State Prosecutor’s Office has ordered an investigation into the crimes that they argue have never been committed by Knezevic.
“The defense will prove Dusko Knezevic’s innocence in these proceedings and his questioning in the proposed manner will enable the discovery of the factual truth,” says the proposal signed by lawyer Zdravko Djukanovic.
Knezevic is wanted by Montenegrin authorities for being out of reach to the Special State Prosecutor’s Office, which opened an investigation against him on suspicion of creating a criminal organization, money laundering and tax evasion.
