Growth forecast improves slightly

Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – In its latest Global Economic Prospects, the World Bank (WB) has increased this year’s economic growth forecast for Montenegro by 0.1 percentage points to 2.9 percent.

In its report published in January, the WB estimated that Montenegro’s gross domestic product would grow by 2.8 percent this year.

According to the latest WB Global Economic Prospects, published in June, the economic growth forecast for the last year was revised to 4.9 percent from 3.8 percent.

This international financial institution expects that Montenegro’s economy will increase by 2.4 percent next year, 0.1 percent less than forecast in January.

Montenegro is expected to see a 2.3 percent economic growth in 2021, which is 0.32 percentage points less than projected in the previous report. Longer version of article is available on a link MINA ENGLISH SERVIS
