Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – It was concluded at a meeting of Prime Minister Dusko Markovic and President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Suma Chakrabarti that Montenegro had achieved excellent results in the field of economic policy and that it had good development prospects and investment opportunities.
According to a press release issued by the Government’s Public Relations Service, Chakrabarti congratulated Markovic on the results achieved in the field of economic policy, as well as on the growth and increase in public revenues.
He said that foreign financial markets responded positively to the developments in Montenegro, which was evident during the last year’s Eurobond issue.
Chakrabarti said that the EBRD’s investments per capita in Montenegro were larger than in any other country it operated in.
“And we have a good reason for this – we have good investment conditions,” Chakrabarti said.
Markovic said that the Government was focused on the economy, job creation and improvement of the living standard.
He underlined the importance of the support provided by the EBRD to both public institutions and enterprises, and the public sector.
Markovic and Chakrabarti also discussed the strengthening of cooperation in the field of tourism, energy, infrastructure, and concluded that there could be no dynamic development without progress in these fields. Longer version of article is available on a link MINA ENGLISH SERVIS
