Podgorica, (MINA) – EU enlargement and regional cooperation are vital for the future of South East Europe, Montenegrin Foreign Minister Srdjan Darmanovic has stated, adding that the region needs to demonstrate unity in order to maintain stability and better connectivity.
Darmanovic participated on Wednesday in an informal meeting of foreign ministers of the South East Europe Cooperation Process which took place in Banja Luka.
The Minister remarked that stability, peace, dialogue and better connectivity require unity in the region, advancement of shared values and same perspectives on the future.
“In recent years, we have witnessed important advancements in terms of better connectivity of the region through joint infrastructure projects, higher level of cultural exchange, cooperation in the areas of judiciary, internal affairs, education, science, media and civil society, which, in addition to economic growth, helps us to curb corruption and strengthen economy, stability and the rule of law,” Darmanovic noted.
