Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – According to the environmental protection movement Ozon, the local administrations should tap their ecotourism resources, as one of the most prosperous development models, which paves the way for production, employment, entrepreneurship, innovation and networking.
On the occasion of the World Tourism Day, the representatives of Ozon said in a press release that this is much better than a passive role and waiting for foreign investment and loans to be used to solve the economic problems and buy social peace.
“Instead of depending on non-ecological projects, shady capital and investors, it would be much better for the citizens to adequately use the local natural resources and budgets, in line with the business vision and public, rather than private interest,” the press release says.
Ozon finds difficult to understand that the grandiose projects such as Porto Skadar Lake have precedence over the sustainable development projects, such as ecotourism
“This is not only wrong, but also detrimental,” Ozon says, adding that such an approach will have long-term negative consequences, especially at the local level.
