Podgorica, (MINA) – Montenegro remains actively committee to NATO priorities, including the open door policy, support to North Macedonia and presence in the NATO missions, said Montenegrin president Milo Djukanovic.
At the meeting with NATO Allied Commander Transformation Andre Lanata, he said that Montenegro has recognized many chances that membership in this alliance offers, understanding membership responsibilities and accepting that it is the only reliable perspective of the stability of the South East Europe.
Lanata stated that Montenegro will still have strong support of the Allied Command that will continue closely cooperating with Montenegro in further aspects of adaptation and transformation.
He remarked that Montenegro’s integration process is an example to others in the region.
Djukanovic expressed satisfaction with the completion of the NATO integration process and thanked for the Allied Command support in implementation of the accession activities and integration of the national system in NATO during the last two years.
“You have a reliable partner in Montenegro and a responsible member that promotes European and Euro-Atlantic system of values at this part of the continent”, said Djukanovic.
