Podgorica, (MINA) – Montenegro is absolutely committed to institutional development and further improvement of rule of law, president Milo Djukanovic said in the meeting with OSCE Secretary General Thomas Greminger, who is paying an official visit to Montenegro.
Djukanovic told Greminger that he is satisfied with the quality of cooperation with OSCE and praised continuous attention and support that this organization dedicates to Montenegro.
“We are in particular thankful for the benefits of cooperation that Montenegro achieved as an OSCE member state since restoration of independence, regarding democratic maturity of the society, security and democratization, respecting human rights, electoral legislation and improvement of media legislation”, said Djukanovic.
Greminger thanked for Montenegro’s strong partnership, its commitment to multilateralism, and contribution to OSCE policies, which is, as he said, of extreme importance in the situation of growing security challenges in Europe.
“I am here to confirm our commitment to continue with support to reform processes in all fields, in particular in the field of media and electoral legislation”, said Greminger.
He also stressed that Montenegro is a leader in the region in implementation of reforms on the EU path.
