Podgorica, (MINA) – Defense lawyers in the case of the attempted terrorism on the day of parliamentary elections called for the acquittals of their defendants.
During the closing arguments in the Higher Court in Podgorica on Friday, they said that physical evidence are in contrast to the statement of cooperative witness Sasa Sindjelic.
The defense lawyers claim that the prosecution endured complete fiasco and request acquittals of their defendants.
The indictment of the Special Prosecutor’s Office includes Russian citizens Eduard Shishmakov and Vladimir Popov, and Serbian citizens Milos Jovanovic, Nemanja Ristic, Predrag Bogicevic, Bratislav Dikic, Kristina Hristic, Branka Milic, Milan Duskic, Dragan Maksic and Srboljub Djordjevic.
The indictment also includes leaders of the Democratic Bloc (DF) Andrija Mandic and Milan Knezevic, as well as Mihailo Cajenovic, DF’s driver.
