Podgorica, (MINA) – The Parliamentary Administrative Committee determined by the votes of the ruling coalition the draft list of the candidate for the Council of the Radio Television of Montenegro (RTCG).
The list includes Ivan Jovetic, candidate of Donja Gorica University, Ilija Despotovic, candidate of Matica Crnogorska, David Delibasic, put forward by the national institutions of culture and NGOs in the area of culture, and Pavle Radanovic, the candidate of the Chamber of Commerce.
The candidates are also Milan Radovic, put forward by the group of NGOs working in the area of media, Goran Sekulovic, NGOs from the area of human rights protection, Nikola Tatar, by the Trade Union and Predrag Marsenic by the Montenegrin Olympic Committee.
The session was marked by a heated argument between Social Democratic Party (SDP) MP Rasko Konjevic, who was the only opposition representative, and Skrelja and other Committee members.
Konjevic accused Skrelja and the Committee to be directly responsible for bad assessments in the European Commission’s report on the status of media freedoms in Montenegro.
He said that the Nikola Vukcevic and Goran Djurovic were replaced from the positions in the Council due to conflict of interest, but later those decisions were overturned in the court.
Konjevic remarked that majority of the candidates put forward are under direct influence of DPS.
Skrelja denied the accusations, and added that those persons were the candidates of the authorized proponents, and that the Committee is there only to determine the lists which are to be approved by the Parliament.
