Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – The first scheduled Barelona-Podgorica flight, which took place today, connected Montenegro with the Iberian Peninsula.
“The flights are scheduled once a week until the end of October, which will be followed by Ryanair flights to Barcelona two times a week, on Thursdays and Mondays,” says a press release issued by the Airports of Montenegro.
Executive Director of the company Danilo Orlandic said that the interest in launching a route to Barcelona had been great.
“As our company always responds to the needs of our citizens and tourism industry professionals, we have made great efforts to launch this route. After having negotiating with several companies for 12 months, we lived up to our promise and established cooperation with Ryanair,” the press release says.
Orlandic underlined the importance of the route in the light of the fact that Podgorica was the only airports in the region that would have flights to Barcelona throughout the year.
