Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – Since the beginning of the year, the airports of Podgorica and Tivat have handled a total of 1.6 million passengers, 120,000 more than in the same period last year.
According to Director of the Airports of Montenegro Danilo Orlandic, this will be the most successful year ever for the Airports of Montenegro judging by the number of passengers and all other parameters.
He says that the airport of Tivat expects to see its one millionth passenger in early October.
“Construction of Terminal 2 at the Tivat airport, which started one year ago, proves to be justified and feasible. The comfort of passengers in the high season has improved, while our staff can now be much more efficient in their work,” Orlandic says in a press release.
The company expects to see much better financial indicators by the end of the year.
“All of this will contribute to the development of Montenegrin airports, as well as the tourism industry of Montenegro, which is our priority,” said Orlandic.
