Podgorica, (MINA) – The bilateral cooperation between Montenegro and the United Arab Emirates can be improved in the field of modernization and equipment of armed forces, Minister of Defense Predrag Boskovic has stated.
According to a press release from the Ministry of Defense, Boskovic met in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday with UAE Minister of State for Defense Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Bowardi.
Reportedly, Minister Boskovic stressed that Montenegro seeks to advance bilateral defense cooperation with both NATO allies and partner countries.
He said that one of the Defense Ministry’s priorities is to continue to invest in modernization and equipment of the Montenegrin Armed Forces, in line with the highest standards and modern security challenges.
The UAE defense minister underlined Montenegro’s active contribution to global stability.
“The two officials exchanged views about the current security situation in the regions of the Western Balkans and the Middle East,” the press release says.
Boskovic is visiting the UAE, on the occasion of the 14th International Defense Exhibition and Conference IDEX, which is traditionally hosted in Abu Dhabi. Longer version of article is available on a link MINA ENGLISH SERVIS
