Podgorica, (MINA) – MP Nebojsa Medojevic was arrested early on Friday following orders of the Higher Court in relation to a bribery case, the Police Administration stated.
Following his arrest, Medojevic was taken to the ZIKS prison.
The Police Administration stated that the Higher Court had ordered Medojevic’s imprisonment for up to two months, due to his refusal to testify in a case launched by the Special State Prosecutor’s Office.
“Due to the publicly made statements by this person that he allegedly know that former Podgorica Mayor would not be ordered detention because he had paid a bribe of €100,000 to the Chief Special Prosecutor,” the police statement said.
