Trade in CGES shares to be restored next week

Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – The trade in shares of Montenegrin Electricity Transmission System on Montenegro Stock Exchange will be restored on Monday.

“Further to a decision of the Capital Market Commission, which was adopted today, the suspension of trade in CGES shares is no longer in effect,” the stock exchange says in a press release.

According to the press release, the Montenegro Stock Exchanged suspended the trade in the company’s shares early this month in order to examine if their price was artificially inflated by 38.4 percent in the previous 30 days to approximately 85.79 cents.

The trade in CGES shares was suspended at the request of the company’s management.

A commission, chaired by Zoran Djikanovic, concluded that it was necessary to determine if the trade in the company’s shares had been in line with the rules of the regulated market.

The commission instructed the Stock Exchange to determine if the trade had been in compliance with the regulations between 1 and 30 October and to provide evidence supporting its findings.
