Podgorica, (MINA) – Draginja Vuksanovic Stankovic is the new president of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), the party’s 9th Congress decided on Saturday.
SDP official Rasko Konjevic was elected as the party’s Vice President.
Former party leader Ranko Krivokapic received the title of Honorary President.
The Congress also appointed the new Main Committee, Oversight Committee and the Statutory Commission.
Vuksanovic Stankovic stated that Montenegro needs to be a harmonious community, arguing that it is the only way to ensure a better future in which the quality of life of ordinary people should be the measure of success.
She emphasized that the country needs a clear vision for its future. “A vision that takes from the past everything that is sacred to us and that makes us who we are, but also a vision that clearly identifies and annuls all the mistakes of the past, first and foremost, a vision focused on the future,” Vuksanovic Stankovic said.
