Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – The Minister of Economy, Dragica Sekulic, has said that the smart specialization strategy, the Government is expected to adopt by the end of the year, will contribute to further development of the economic sectors with the best outlook in Montenegro, and indentify their comparative advantages and potentials.
At the conference S3.me – Smart Specialization: innovation, entrepreneurship, competitiveness, she said that it was important for every country to identify its potentials in the priority sectors through smart specialization.
“The strengthening of innovation capacities, and technological and other specializations ensure the visibility and positioning in the global market, while boosting the competitiveness of the economy,” said Sekulic.
The strategy was drafted by the Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Science, the Chamber of Commerce (PKCG), the Employers Federation (UPCG), the Montenegro Business Alliance (MBA), with the support of the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission.
