Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – Vice-President and MP of the Democratic Montenegro Momo Koprivica has said that the management of the Central Bank (CBCG) must resign urgently, adding that the CBCG’s costs would otherwise keep growing while its reputation would be seriously compromised.
“The fact that the CBCG’s estranged management elite, with Governor Radoje Zugic at its helm, has planned an increase in all costs for this year says enough about the real situation in this institution,” Koprivica says in a press release.
He argues that the regime uses this institution for its own purposes, while the CBCG is enjoying many privileges, including the financial ones.
“It is obvious that their main concern is the comfort of their nepotistic network, rather than a stable, reliable and proper functioning of the banking and financial system,” said Koprivica.
He reminded that the planned operating costs of the Central Bank amounted to €11.88 million, nine percent more than planned for the last year and six percent more than spent in the same period. Longer version of article is available on a link MINA ENGLISH SERVIS
