Pristina, (MINA) – Transformation of Kosovo security forces into the national military is Kosovo’s internal issue, Montenegrin Defense Minister Predrag Boskovic has stated, adding that Montenegro respects all decisions made by sovereign countries.
Boskovic remarked that the purpose of his visit to Pristina on Tuesday was to prove the Montenegro is a true friend of Kosovo.
He noted that Montenegro will not interfere in internal affairs of the neighboring countries and that it expects Pristina to resolve this issue on its own, Koha reports.
“Montenegro is a big advocate of the open-door policy and NATO integration, but we also support the others and we accept and respect all the different positions that exist in our region,” Boskovic stated at a joint press conference with his Kosovo counterpart Rustem Berisha.
He said that Montenegro wishes to convey its experience of Euro-Atlantic integration, in order for the whole region to ‘take the path of integration and overall social progress’.
