Podgorica, (MINA) – The civic protests are the marathon that will take its participants to the goal, the organizers of the “97000- Resist!” rally stated and called on the citizens to be patient.
Several thousand citizens, following the assembly in the Independence Square, went in a protest walk by the buildings of the Parliament, Presidency and the Prosecution.
“Our protests are the marathon which will take us to the goal. I ask all the citizens to be patient”, said actor Slavisa Grubisa.
One of protest organizers Dzemal Perovic asked if there was bigger form of patriotism than stopping plundering of national resources.
He said that they turned to the street for justice.
Professor Goran Mariovic said that Montenegrin society was ‘sick” and called on the government to stop negotiating, since they were, as he said, the source of all problems.
History professor Petar Glenadja said that there was not a better place to be than in the protests.
“We are the state and we want changes. The opposition must change itself and its manner of acting and choose priorities differently”, said he.
