Prices go up

Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – In January, the prices of industrial products in Montenegro were 0.8 percent higher on average compared with last December.

Monstat says that, compared with the same month last year, the production prices of industrial products were 1.8 percent higher in January.

The Statistical Office says that the price indices for the industrial products, which are calculated on the basis of the domestic market prices of industrial producers, are among the main short-term indicators in the economic analyses and reports.

“The selling price of the industrial producers is the price at which producers offer their products to the regular buyers in the local market,” says Monstat.

The price does not include value added tax. The samples and ponders are based on the annual industry survey. The producers are selected as the largest producers for the product categories included in the survey.
