Pogorica, (MINA) – The OSCE is ready to help Montenegro in the forthcoming reform of election legislation, Head of the OSCE Mission in Montenegro Maryse Daviet stated at a meeting with Deputy Parliament Speaker Genci Nimanbegu.
According to the Parliament’s press release, Nimanbegu and Ambassador Daviet discussed the topic of reforming election legislation and creating a more favorable election climate in Montenegro.
Nimanbegu informed his guest that the working group, which was elected in the Parliament on Monday, already has 12 out of 14 members, due to the failure of the Democrats and the Special Parliamentary Group to delegate their members.
He remarked that implementation of all the OSCE/ODIHR recommendations from 2016 and 2018 will be one of the most important tasks.
