Podgorica, (MINA) – Montenegrin President Milo Djukanovic, Prime Minister Dusko Markovic and Parliament Speaker Ivan Brajovic have expressed their condolences for the death of U.S. Senator John McCain.
In his letter, Djukanovic noted that McCain is an inseparable part for Montenegro’s modern history and will remain remembered as a true friend and supporter of Montenegro, who has contributed to its NATO membership.
“With McCain’s help we are now part of NATO, and his voice of support has always been loud when Montenegro needed it the most,” the government said in a press release.
Parliament Speaker Brajovic noted that Senator McCain has given immeasurable contribution to the strengthening of Montenegrin-U.S. relations and advancing Montenegro’s position in the world.
