Podgorica, (MINA) – Montenegro is recognized as a credible partner of the international community, said Defense Minister of Turkey Hulusi Akar during the meeting with his Montenegrin counterpart Predrag Boskovic
According to the Ministry’s press release, during the meeting in Istanbul Boskovic emphasized readiness for intensifying cooperation between the two countries through new bilateral projects, in particular considering very developed Turkish military industry.
Boskovic informed his Turkish colleague about the process of modernization of the Montenegrin Armed Forces (VCG) through procuring the equippment and development of military capacities.
Akar, according to the press release, expressed satisfaction with the progress of bilateral cooperation, to which improvement will contribute recent decision of the Montenegrin defense ministry on training its cadets in the military academy in Turkey.
“Akar said that Montenegro is recognized as a credible partner to the international community, in particular emphasizing important contribution of VCG to the collective system of defense”, the press release stated.
