Podgorica, (MINA) – The two new multi-purpose helicopters type Bell 412 EPI intended for the Montenegrin Air Force are the most significant pieces of military equipment procured since the restoration of Montenegro’s independence and a confirmation of the country’s determination to build its capabilities within NATO, the government has stated.
The two military helicopters arrived in Montenegro on Monday.
At the reception ceremony, Prime Minister Dusko Markovic noted that the capacities of the Montenegrin Armed Forces are being developed in line with the needs of collective security.
“While joining NATO we said that we would act as a responsible member hand in hand with the most powerful and most developed countries, and strengthen our military capabilities in line with the collective security needs,” Markovic stated.
