Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – The National Tourism Organization (NTO) believes that medical tourism could become one of Montenegro’s leading tourism products relatively soon, particularly bearing in mind its comparative advantages.
According to the NTO, these comparative advantages include qualified staff, good reputation of the medical services, geographical position, proximity to major outbound markets, natural beauties, good climate, safety of the country and a long tourism tradition.
“In addition, the fact that the prices of medical services in Montenegro are lower than in the Western European countries and some of the Balkan countries is another competitive advantage,” the NTO says in a press release.
The NTO says that the geographical position of Montenegro and its beautiful nature, rich cultural heritage and diversity of medical services in the field of rehabilitation, prevention, oral medicine and aesthetic surgery provide all conditions to make it a recognizable destination for medical tourism.
According to the NTO, medical tourism is the fastest growing tourism sector in the world, which grows at a rate of 15 to 20 percent a year.Longer version of article is available on a link MINA ENGLISH SERVIS
