Markovic: Every euro matters

Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – Prime Minister Dusko Markovic has said that it is necessary to be careful with every euro, adding that it is the only way to create preconditions allowing the citizens to feel the benefits of the economic policy.

Discussing the Budget Bill for 2019 at a Cabinet meeting, he said that the economical attitude towards budget spending must be maintained.

“We have to be careful how we spend each euro, as that is the only way for the citizens, primarily the pensioners, teachers and medical workers, to feel the benefits of the Government’s economic policy,” said Markovic.

According to a press release issued by the Government’s Public Relations Service, the macroeconomic and fiscal projections for a period until 2021 were adopted at the Cabinet meeting.

“The projections will provide basis for preparation of the economic reform programme 2019 – 2021, as a major document for the economic dialogue between Montenegro and the European Commission,” the Government says.

The projections include the estimated budget revenues and expenditures, and the national and public debt balance until the end of 2018.
