Podgorica, (MINA) – Following the orders of the Higher Court, Interpol Podgorica has requested the Interpol Headquarters in Lyon to issue an international wanted notice for fugitive businessman Dusko Knezevic, Pobjeda reports.
The Montenegrin authorities launched an investigation against Knezevic, suspecting him of heading a criminal group involved in money laundering, tax evasion and blackmail.
According to the daily, the Interpol HQ in Lyon is expected to issue a wanted notice for Knezevic within the legal deadline.
The request from Interpol Podgorica came after the police notified the Special State Prosecutor’s Office that Knezevic could not be found at his official address in Montenegro and after the prosecution authorities asked the Higher Court to authorize the request for an international wanted notice.
