Hotel Falkensteiner Montenegro opens

Budva, (MINA-BUSINESS) – Hotel Falkensteiner Montenegro, formerly known as the Queen of Montenegro, was formally opened in Becici on Wednesday.

Minister of Tourism and Sustainable Development Pavle Radulovic has said that the hotel has 240 accommodation units with 500 beds, adding that it expects to welcome 50,000 guests by the end of the year.

“This hotel was once the pride of our tourism, not only in Budva but in the whole Montenegro, and I expect it to see better days now that it operates under the Falkensteiner brand,” he said at the opening ceremony, attended by a large number of guests from the political, business and media sphere of Montenegro and the rest or the region.

The hotel is member of the hotel group Falkensteiner Hotels & Residences.

According to Infobiro, Executive Director of the group Falkensteiner Michaeler Tourism Group (FMTG), Ottmar Michaeler, said that he was very proud of Falkensteiner having become part of Montenegro.

“Travelling across Europe, we talk about different places, brands, business opportunities and, when we say that we are opening a new hotel in Montenegro, we always receive positive reactions,” said Michaeler.

The company’s regional director for Montenegro and Serbia Aleksandar Vasiljevic thanked the Ministry of Tourism and Sustainable Development and the local administration of Budva for everything they had done for Falkensteiner Group.

Director of the Tourism Organization of Budva Maja Lijesevic said that the brand such as Falkensteiner would contribute a great deal to the improvement of Budva’s tourism products.

The formal opening featured a prize competition, and the luckiest guests won three-day stays at the group’s hotels in Serbia, Montenegro and Croatia.
