Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – Minister of Finance Darko Radunovic has said that implementation of the electronic fiscalization system, which will improve the efficiency of combating the informal economy, tax collection and business environment in Montenegro, is expected to start early next year.
At today’s meeting with representatives of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), led by new head of the IMF Mission Korstiaan Kool, he said that the good cooperation and results achieved in the previous period paved the way for the future tasks they would be working together.
“Implementation of the electronic fiscalization system and a loan extended by the World Bnak (WB) to finance the Tax Administration Reform project will result in full reform of the tax authority,” said Radunovic.
The IMF partners said that the challenges related to the establishment of the management structure, organizational scheme for different bodies and risk management were ahead of the tax authority.
They said that the IMF experts were ready to provide the technical assistance aimed at enhancing the functioning of the Tax Administration.
