Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – According to Executive Director of the Belgian-Dutch Constituency at the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Anthony De Lannoy, the economic situation in Montenegro has improved significantly, and the IMF will offer technical assistance in the priority fields.
He informed a Montenegrin delegation at the annual meeting of the World Bank (WB) and the IMF about the appointment of a new Head of the Montenegro Mission.
The Montenegrin delegation is led by the Central Bank Governor Radoje Zugic and Finance Minister Darko Radunovic.
According to a press release issued by the Central Bank (CBCG) and the Ministry, Zugic told Lannoy that the economic growth had exceeded expectations in Montenegro, adding that the financial and macroeconomic situation had improved significantly.
Radunovic said that the momentum created by a rapid economic growth should be used to carry out important structural reforms.
